A New Stretch Marks Removal Method: Fractional Laser

Stretch marks are a skin disease that affects mostly women but also men in lower percentage. An issue that often creates discomfort, especially for the young who live the torment of embarrassment for this skin mark when wearing a bathing suit or a skirt, and which in 99% of the cases, appears to be permanent. They are real scars of the skin that appear when you lose a lot of weight. The skin that was previously stretched from the abdomen or breasts, due to the loss of weight, relaxes and the stretch marks appear. It’s the same process that happens with a rubber band, when we tend it very much and then we release it at once. Until recently, to eliminate the stretch marks there were just few methods: you could try mesotherapy, peeling or dermabrasion.

Now there is a new generation method for eliminating stretch marks: the fractional laser.

How does the fractional laser work?

Known in the United States under the name of StarLux Fractional, the fractional laser is a high power laser that practices tiny holes under the first layer of the skin, effectively practicing an abrasion that doesn’t redden or burn the epidermis. It is a non-invasive cure, as it acts from outside and stops at the first layer of the skin, and gives good results from the first session. In fact, for red or pink stretch marks, which are the most recent and easiest to eliminate, just a single session can be enough. The final results are valuable in a month.

For stretch marks older, usually white or pearl colored, fractional laser can be used in combination with infrared light that  increases the elasticity of the skin.

You can also integrate this treatment moisturizing the skin with special creams anti stretch marks, such as those based on retinol, glycolic acid, almond oil and rose hip, to obtain an even more clear and satisfactory effect and that have the advantage that can be used by yourself during pregnancy and breastfeeding
